Holy Cross Social Service Society transforms the lives of marginalized and tribal communities in Andhra Pradesh, India, by educating children, protecting girls, empowering women, and strengthening family livelihoods. We envision a society where women and girls have the freedom to make their own choices, fulfill their survival needs and aspirations, and lead self-reliant, sustainable, and dignified lives.
Mission
We strive to bring behavioral, social, and economic transformation in the lives of women and girls by providing community-based solutions in education, health, and sustainable livelihood.
Objectives
- To empower poor and vulnerable communities by providing essential services that ensure minimum access to development opportunities.
- To promote holistic development of individuals and families living in hand-to-mouth and precarious conditions.
- To motivate and educate communities to take charge of their own development and to effectively utilize the resources and schemes available to them.
- To support and advance the well-being of women, children, and other disadvantaged, marginalized, and vulnerable groups in society.
Legal Status
- Registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, Registration No. 188/1995.
- Registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).
- Holds tax exemption under Section 12A of the Indian Income Tax Act.
- Possesses a valid Permanent Account Number (PAN).
