Awareness of Swachh Bharat and Open Defecation-free
The Holy Cross promotes awareness of Swachh Bharat and Open Defecation-free (ODF) communities by fostering a clean environment through enhanced sanitation practices and community engagement. We conduct educational campaigns to emphasize the importance of sanitation and hygiene in disease prevention. Additionally, we support the development of essential sanitation infrastructure to ensure access to safe and dignified facilities for all.
Our Approach
- Engaging with local communities, schools, and civic organizations to promote sanitation awareness through workshops, events, and interactive sessions.
- Assessing the progress towards Open Defecation-free status, monitoring sanitation facilities’ maintenance, and addressing challenges through collaborative efforts.
- Collaborating with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners to leverage resources, expertise, and funding for sustainable sanitation projects.
