NTFP Value Addition Training for Tribal Women

Our skill development initiative focused on empowering tribal women through Non-Timber Forest Product (NTFP) value-addition training. Our program is designed to economically and socially empower tribal women by providing specialized training in sustainable harvesting, processing, and enhancing the value of NTFPs. We emphasize preserving indigenous knowledge and traditional practices related to NTFPs, ensuring cultural continuity and environmental stewardship. By equipping participants with product development, packaging, marketing, and entrepreneurship skills, we aim to create sustainable livelihoods and foster community resilience through viable income-generating opportunities.

Our Approach
  • Offering hands-on workshops and skill-building sessions conducted by experts in NTFP management, product development, and business planning.
  • Collaborating closely with tribal communities to co-design training programs that align with their cultural values, livelihood aspirations, and environmental conservation goals.
  • Facilitating market linkages and promoting NTFP products through partnerships with local businesses, cooperatives, and marketplaces to enhance economic opportunities for participants.
Through our efforts, we aim to
  • Foster economic independence and leadership among tribal women through skill development and entrepreneurship in NTFP value addition.
  • Promote sustainable harvesting practices and value-addition techniques contributing to biodiversity conservation and forest ecosystem resilience.
  • Build resilience within tribal communities by diversifying livelihood options and preserving traditional knowledge systems related to NTFP management.
