Gender Equality & Rights Awareness
Holy Cross Social Service Society promotes gender equality by raising awareness about the rights of women and girls, child protection, equal opportunities, and the prevention of gender-based discrimination. Women’s Empowerment:

International Day of the Girl Child:
Every year on 11 October, the Holy Cross Social Service Society celebrates the International Day of the Girl Child to recognize the rights, achievements, and potential of adolescent girls. The celebration includes awareness programs, leadership activities, cultural events, interactive discussions, and recognition of outstanding girls. The initiative provides a platform for girls to express their ideas, build self-confidence, and raise awareness about the importance of girls’ education, leadership, gender equality, and equal opportunities. International Women’s Day:
Holy Cross Social Service Society commemorates International Women’s Day on 8 March each year by celebrating the achievements and contributions of women while promoting gender equality and women’s rights. The program includes awareness sessions, motivational talks, cultural activities, recognition of women leaders, and discussions on issues affecting women and girls. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL):
Holy Cross Social Service Society promotes Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) to help girls develop self-awareness, self-confidence, emotional resilience, empathy, communication, and responsible decision-making skills. Through interactive learning sessions, mentoring, experiential activities, and group discussions, participants strengthen their ability to manage emotions, build healthy relationships, solve problems, and make informed decisions. These essential life skills empower girls to overcome challenges, succeed in their education, and become confident leaders in their families and communities.
